Data Hiding In The Noise Of Picture

ABSTRACT
To hide a message, open a bitmap file, then enter a password or select a key file. The key file can be any file, another bitmap for example. This password or key will be treated as a stream of bytes specifying the space between two changed pixels. I don't recommend text files, because they may result in a quite regular noise pattern. The longer your key files or password is the less regular the noise will appear. Next step, enter the secret message or choose a file, and click the Hide button. The application writes the length of the message in bytes into the first pixel. After that it reads a byte from the message, reads another byte from the key, and calculates the coordinates of the pixel to use for the message-byte. It increments or resets the color component index, to switch between the R, G and B component. Then it replaces the R, G or B component of the pixel (according to the color component index) with the message-byte, and repeats the procedure with the next byte of the message. At last, the new bitmap is displayed. Save the bitmap by clicking the Save button. If the grayscale flag is set, all components of the color are changed. Grayscale noise is less visible in most images.

    

File Encryption And Decryption

ABSTRACT
In a traditional file system, files are usually stored on disks in plaintext. When the disks are stolen by someone, contents of those files can be easily recovered by the malicious people. To protect files even when the disks are stolen, we can use encryption tools to encrypt files. For example, we can use "pgp" command to encrypt files. However, this is quite invenient; users need to decrypt a file before editing the file, and then remember to encrypt it afterward. It will be better if the encryption and decryption are transparant to users. Namely, when users edit a file (using any editor software) that is encrypted and stored on a disk, the file is automatically encrypted and decrypted; users are not aware of the encryption/decryption process. To achieve this goal, we need the support from the file system. Encrypted File System (EFS) is developed for such a purpose. There are two methods: EncryptFile and DecryptFile. They both require that you pass in the filenames and paths of the source and destination files as strings. It is important that the user has the necessary file rights to create the encrypted file.

    

Multi-Threaded Segmented Download Accelerator Using Plug-In Architecture

ABSTRACT
This project is aimed to develop a multi-thread Segmented Download Manager that manages multiple segmented downloads and supports HTTP, FTP and YouTube video downloads This system can be used as an application for any internet user who generally downloads a large amount of data from the net. Downloads can be segmented because both HTTP and FTP protocols allow the client to specify the start position of the stream. First, it performs a request to the server to discover the file size and then calculates segment size.

    

Remote Desktop Observer

ABSTRACT
Remote Desktop Observer is applicable to a network of computers in a remote location. It is a tool developed to capture the desktop screen of the remote clients and sends it to the administrative system. The screen can be captured by copying the image of that screen on to a “clipboard”, ready to paste into any program. The Windows clipboard is a convenient tool you can use to copy or move information from one place to another. To use clipboard, simply select the text, image, or other item you want to copy or move to another place. After the screen is captured, it is copied to the clipboard. Then, the same screen is selected from the clipboard and pasted on the administrator’s desktop. In this way, the administrator can view the desktop screen of the remote client without informing him. This process is repeated according to the administrator’s given interval. The administrator can store the remote client’s desktop screen if he/she required. He can either send some alert to the remote client system as warning for their illegal works or he can even inform about a message as alert to the remote client. The administrator can either send a group or individual alert to the clients.

This system does Remote control at the application level. This system allows controlling, checking files and its permissions, etc. interface over the network to a remote computer with the remote protocol. This project deals with easily exporting the user level. This system allows controlling the system remotely like shutdown. This enhances the work efficiency of the administrator and also reduces the physical work strain. It can also be used to reduce the unnecessary power consumption in an organization.

ABSTRACT
SATELLITE INFORMATION SYSTEM aims at developing 3-tier application. This information management system comprises of modules that support the tracking the status of satellite data products, building forms and reports. This is comprehensive software develops the complete solution for the needs of people working on satellite information. This application gets the information in the form of images from different satellite sources. Information from different satellites such as information related to the weather, security, climatic conditions, route maps etc. Satellite information system takes all the information from all the satellites and stores the information accordingly. This application is going to separate the data and stores it accordingly, such as information related to weather is stored separately and information related to other categories is stored accordingly. That stored data is again presented in the form of different reports basing on the request given by the user. This application is going to store the huge data and that information is available at the time request. User can have the information related to any day at any point of time. Information of previous day, month or year can be available. Admin organizes the data which comes as an input and user can access the data in the required statistical report. User is restricted in using the data basing on the permissions given by the admin.

A module that Compresses and Encrypts the XML data. Various compression and encryption (e.g. RSA, MD5) algorithms are applied on the XML data, which is later used in the Wireless transfer module. Wireless data transfer is done using Blue tooth technology. It can support for the following objects: 1. Text Files 2. Audio Files 3. Video Files This involves the configuration of USB Blue tooth devices on two different computers. Not only is the data transferred between two wirelesses PCs but also the web application executed wirelessly.
